The Light 26 bottle: glass innovation at the service of the Champagne industry

In the heart of the village of Cuisles, Cédric Moussé, a visionary winemaker committed to responsible cultivation, came up with the idea for the Light 26 bottle. This innovative project, supported by the technical expertise of Saverglass, illustrates the Champagne industry's ability to combine tradition and innovation to meet today's environmental performance challenges.

The challenge was ambitious: to design a 75 cl bottle capable of matching the oenological qualities of a magnum, while being lighter and more environmentally friendly. With a record weight of 725 g (compared to 835 to 900 g for traditional formats), the Light 26 offers optimised logistical performance and material impact, while ensuring the necessary resistance for ageing champagne.

To turn this bold idea into reality, Saverglass contributed its glass expertise and technical support at every stage of the project, from design to production, in order to ensure the perfect balance between lightness, strength and aesthetic quality.

The Light 26 is much more than a technical innovation: it is the result of a successful collaboration between a passionate winegrower and an expert industrial partner, proving that boldness and expertise can transform industry standards.
